Jet Set Go · jetsetgo.xyz · Last updated October 6, 2026
Jet Set Go turns your travel booking emails into a map of the places you have stayed. It has no accounts and no database. This page explains exactly what happens to your data.
What stays in your browser
Your trips (cities, dates, hotel names) are saved only in your own browser's local storage on the device you use. We never receive a copy. Clearing your browser data, or using the Clear button on the site, deletes them. You can export them as a file at any time.
Connect Gmail
If you choose Connect Gmail, Google asks you to grant read-only access to your Gmail (the gmail.readonly permission). When you grant it:
- Your browser talks to Gmail directly. Jet Set Go searches for messages that look like travel bookings (hotel, flight, rental and train confirmations) and reads the sender and subject lines to decide which ones are bookings. This check happens in your browser.
- Only the emails that look like bookings are opened. Booking details in standard structured form are read in your browser. For the rest, the text of those booking emails (with sender, subject and date) is sent to our server so an AI model can pull out the city and dates. See "Email reading" below.
- The access token is used only for that one scan and is revoked as soon as the scan finishes. We do not keep it, and we cannot read your mail at any other time.
- We never send, change, delete or label any email.
Email reading
When an email needs AI reading (from Gmail, an email export, or text you paste), its text is sent to our server function at jetsetgo.xyz, which passes it to a large language model through Vercel AI Gateway (currently a Google Gemini model). The model returns the city, country, dates and place name. The result goes back to your browser.
We do not store the email text or the results on our servers, we do not log email contents, and we do not use them for anything other than building your map. The AI provider processes the text only to return that answer, under its terms for API use.
Google user data
Jet Set Go's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, Gmail data is used only to show you your own travel map; it is not sold, not used for advertising, not used to train AI models, and not read by people unless you ask us for help and share it yourself.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not collect your emails or trips.
Other services
The site loads map data, fonts and code libraries from public content networks (cdnjs, jsDelivr, Google Fonts). Those providers see a normal web request from your browser.
Removing access
You can remove Jet Set Go's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Because the token is already revoked after each scan, there is usually nothing left to remove.
Children
Jet Set Go is not meant for children under 13.
